CHURCH, NPLC staffers honored again by press association

For the second year in a row, CHURCH magazine was honored by the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada with an award it has won before: first place for General Excellence in its category of professional and special interest magazines.

Competing against all magazines, CHURCH took two second-place awards, one for best review section and another for best review, the latter for a book review written by Jeffry Odell Korgen, secretary of the Roundtable Association of Diocesan Social Action Directors, an NPLC project area.

In book awards, Korgen also won a second place award among books focused on social concerns for his “Solidarity Will Transform the World” (Orbis).
