NEWS & VIEWS The NPLC will celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of its founding and twenty-five years of promoting excellence in pastoral leadership with three events in New York City on Thursday, March 26, 2009. All will take place at St. Paul’s Church at Lincoln Center. In honor of the international Year of St. Paul, in the afternoon from 12:30 to 5 p.m. there will be a colloquium, “St. Paul Speaks to Pastoral Leaders Today,”co-sponsored by the NPLC and the Fordham University School of Religion and Religious Education. Presenters will be Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga, S.D.B. Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, who will speak on how “St. Paul’s Legacy of Inculturation Challenges Us to Be Attentive to the ‘Signs of the Times,’” and the Rev. Robert Schreiter, C.PP.S., who will speak on being “Ambassadors for Christ's Sake: St. Paul’s Vision of Reconciliation.” A panel response and conversation with speakers will follow. At 5:30 p.m. a concelebrated Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered in the church. Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien of Baltimore will preach the homily. Mass will be followed by a gala reception and dinner.
